The many ways to audition for
The Schoolhouse Theater
The Schoolhouse
Theatre is a professional non-Equity theatre. The Schoolhouse
Theater productions require a two-week rehearsal process as well as
daytime and evening rehearsals. Anyone interested must be available
for the two-week rehearsal period and all performances. Shows are
Monday through Saturday evenings with select matinees

ways you will be able to audition for The Schoolhouse Theater:

The Artistic Director, Victor Legarreta, will be
attending some of the Unified professional theater auditions such as
SETC, FPTA, and select NY auditions. Here are two links to those

Actor’s serious in Musical Theater from ages 16 and up
can always send their headshot and resume and/or non-returnable
video audition. A HEADSHOT AND RESUME MIGHT ONLY GET YOU A PHONE
CALL, I WILL NEED TO HEAR YOU SING AND A VIDEO OR CD SUBMISSION IS
THE BEST THING YOU CAN SEND. Please note that all submissions
will not necessarily receive a call about receipt of video, headshot

There will be auditions held at least once a year for
Actors serious in Musical Theater at The Schoolhouse Theater. The
rules for the auditions are as follows:
Anyone interested in
auditioning should bring a current photo, resume and be prepared to
sing sixteen bars. Please bring sheet music in the appropriate
key. An accompanist will be provided (No audio tapes, or cd’s
please). There will be a movement/dance audition following the
singing audition.
